When Mike and his Pie Hole moved to the central Arizona desert in 1980, they were immediately awestruck by the 180 degrees of blue sky.  The rugged mountains on the horizon only widened their eyes.

In the years and decades that unfolded, Mike has seen and experienced some even bigger things in our spacious Sonoran landscape.

So it seems fitting to let the brushes capture some of these skies and bigger personalities.  That is the thinking behind the Big and Bigger series of paintings.
